BNF is a not- for- profit non governmental organization dedicated to empowering economically less privileged students pursuing different disciplines at the graduation level, so that they become self reliant after undergoing training imparted by the foundation. Initially, BNF will train at least 250 students per annum from the commerce stream to make them highly competent accountants fully fit for the growing job market where abundant demand for accountants exists.. The basic objective of the trust is to alleviate atleast 5000 people from poverty through this Empowerment Program.
The second step is to construct an OLD AGE HOME which can house at least 50 members belonging to the poorer sections of the society. BNF wants to provide food, clothing and shelter to the senior citizens in the proposed Old age home.
Dabbiru Bharata Nidhi was born to a famous Telugu Scholar Narayana Sarma and Varalakshmi in the year 1930. Narayana Sarma ,a well known personality of his times in the field of Telugu Literature worked as a Lecturer in Pachiappa college, Chennai and finally retired from the CBM High School, Visakhapatnam. He gave financial assistance to several academically weak and financially less privileged students in promoting their academic pursuits.
Mr Bharata Nidhi, after completing SSLC, joined M/s Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd and retired as a Senior Technician in1987. He had a lot of compassion for the economically less privileged people. He was very honest, bold, composed , knowledgeable, simple and humble. He passed away in 2002. He is survived by his wife Bhagya Lakshmi , four children and four grand children. His children are Indira, Gopi Krishna, Srinivas and Sudha Rani.
